The Evolution of Two-Photon Polymerization: Capabilities, Limitations, and State of the Art
Abstract:
This talk will provide an introduction to Two-Photon Polymerization and explore its development through the example of Nanoscribe. What began as a highly specialized research technology for producing tiny three-dimensional metamaterials has evolved into a versatile fabrication platform used across a broad range of applications. Today, the technology covers length scales from sub-micron features to multi-millimeter mesoscale structures. Along the way, I will examine the key limitations that have shaped the development of the technology, both in the past and today, and explain how we have worked to overcome them. I will close with several examples that demonstrate what is currently possible and highlight the state of the art.
