HoloTile Lithography II: Experimental Realization and Applications 

Abstract:
This lecture presents the experimental realization of HoloTile lithography, from optical system design and calibration to process optimization and experimental validation. It demonstrates the implementation of lensless holographic volumetric additive manufacturing (HoloVAM) enabled by the HoloTile framework and discusses how the same principles can be extended to applications including three-dimensional microfabrication and photonic device fabrication.

Dr. Andreas Gejl Madsen

Dr. Andreas Gejl Madsen (AGM) is a researcher specializing in computational holography, programmable phase optics, and their applications in quantum technologies, advanced manufacturing, and optical imaging. He completed an industrial PhD in 2025 focused on holographic microscopy for label-free cell analysis and is affiliated with SDU Centre for Photonics Engineering, University of Southern Denmark. His research focuses on high-speed computational holography and real-time optical wavefront control. AGM has played a key role in the technical and experimental development of the patented holographic technologies HoloTile, HoloVAM, Phazor and QuanTile, contributing to their translation from research into emerging commercial applications through the university spin-out HoloTile Photonics. His work spans neutral-atom quantum computing, volumetric additive manufacturing, and computational microscopy.

AGM has authored more than 25 scientific publications, including journal articles and invited and contributed conference presentations, with work published in Nature Communications and Reports on Progress in Physics, IOP. In 2025, the work on QuanTile was selected as a finalist for The Bright Idea Award. In 2026, he was invited to present the latest developments in lensless HoloVAM at SPIE Photonics West, one of the world's leading conferences in optics and photonics.
